Jake DeMay

INVESTIGATOR

Jake has over 10 years of firefighting experience and five years as a fire investigator for the Naperville Fire Department. He has led or assisted in over 150 hours of fire scene investigations. These investigations have taken place in residential, commercial and vehicle fires in cooperation with the Office of the State Fire Marshal, DuPage County Arson Task Force, Local Fire Departments as well as the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms. Jake is also a member of the DuPage County Arson Task Force, Will, Cook, Grundy Task Force, Naperville Fire Investigation Team, and Naperville HazMat Team. He is an instructor for the Naperville Fire Department in Basic Operations Firefighter, Vehicle Machinery Operations and Fire Investigations. He has assisted in instruction for the IAAI in basic fire investigations, vehicle fires, scene reconstruction and arsons. Jake is certified as a Fire Investigator, Arson Investigator, HazMat Tech A, Fire Officer I, Instructor I and Vehicle Machinery Operations through the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
