ACCREDITATION

Rayburn Fire Scene Investigations (FSI) is pleased to announce we have obtained accreditation from the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) to ISO/IEC 17020:2012 for Forensic Inspection in the area of Fire and Explosion Origin and Cause Investigation.  FSI is the third U.S. based organization and one of four worldwide to obtain accreditation to ISO/IEC 17020 for Forensic Inspection in the area of Fire and Explosion Origin and Cause Investigation.

Accreditation is the process in which an authoritative body (A2LA) completes an assessment and provides formal recognition that a Conformity Assessment Body (FSI) has fulfilled specified requirements and is competent to carry out specific tasks.

A2LA is among the largest accreditation bodies in the world and the only independent, 501(c)3, non-profit, internationally recognized accreditation body in the United States. A2LA is a third-party body that performs accreditation to various international standards, including ISO/IEC 17020:2012 for Forensic Inspection.
